Just a few updates.

Hello everyone!

Well, with the help of God, I've made it through my first semester as a preschool teacher! Thank you God! I've finished most of my CDA classes and I'm working on my portfolio. I quit my part time job as a cashier and now that I'm done teaching for the summer, I'm taking care of 2 young boys (sometimes there are 4 of them) They are all wonderful children! One of the children I'm working with has autism. I am learning a great deal about how to teach a child with a learning difference. It's been a little rough around the edges, but he is a wonderful child! There are lots of things that have been getting to my depression lately, but I'm doing my best to not let it effect my work. I always have to have a plan for them and myself. A schedule is a wonderful thing!
I'm still volunteering as a secretary for my church and I'm involved with VBS again this year! This year we are doing Christmas in July! I'm excited to see how it's going to turn out!
I'm going to be writing up a lesson about how to gain confidence in yourself. Once that is written and looked over, I'll post it on here. This is going to be a wonderful challenge for me. Gaining courageousness is something that I've been striving for ever since I was a child. I was/am always so quiet. Posting my lesson here might help someone else too.
I have a Japanese pen pal. Well, when I say pen pall it's more like we skype chat. It's mostly been texting but sometimes there is a word or two that I can't say quite right and I'll send a video message. Learning to speak Japanese is a lot of fun. I think (personally) I would consider Japanese to be the romance language of East Asia. Japanese is a very beautiful language and the culture fascinates me more every day. I wonder if I'll ever be able to visit Japan? I think it would be fun if my hubby and I could go there one day!
